RSPCA Million Paws Walk 2015／百万肉球散歩2015

We joined the dog charity event which 

is held at the Sydney Olympic Park on 17th May.

This is our second visit but we faced a little trouble.

5/17（日）ドッグ・チャリティー・イベントが

シドニー・オリンピック・パークで開催されました。

今回で２回目の参加。でも、ちょっとしたトラブル発生・・・

Huh?  It's so quiet over there???

はて？やけに静かな会場だな？？？

In this event, you can join 2km or 4km dog walking but when 

we got there we couldn't see any dogs at the START point!?

Unfortunately the dog walking was already finished!

 This is not a free entry.  We paid A$25 for joining the event.

このイベントでは2kmと4kmのグループ散歩に参加できるのですが

スタート地点には一匹のわんこもいなっ・・・いなーい！？

僕らが到着した時には既にグループ散歩は終わってました！

酷ぇーよ、前売り入場料（25豪ドル＝約2,500円）払ったのにさ！

It was a quiet place because most of the dogs 

had already left.  Maybe Hina likes this quiet 

situation better?  We should get here earlier next year. 

もうほとんどわんこのいない出涸らし状態のイベント会場。

でも、なぜか嬉しそうなひな？来年はもうちょっと早く来ようね。

 We happened to meet our Shiba friends Hachi and Miso at the event.  

They are still young Shibas so they played together endlessly.   

 Hina: "Oh well, I can't understand young Shibas..."

偶然、会場で会うことができた柴友のHachiとMiso。

二人共まだヤンチャ盛りで、大暴れする二人を

ひなは鬱陶しそうに見守ってました。

Aus Customs vs Johnny Depp

When I was watching a Japanese morning show, the words of 

“Aus gov. got angry!!” caught my attention.  Hollywood actor

 Johnny Depp brought his two dogs to Australia by his private jet 

for his new film shooting.  However he didn't follow the process 

for animal quarantine check-ups so Aus gov. asked him to remove 

these dogs from Australia withing 72 hrs or put them down.

日本の朝の番組を見てたら“豪州政府 激怒”の文字が。

映画撮影のために自家用機でオーストラリアへやって来た 

ジョニー・デップは、 動物検疫の手続きをせずに２匹の

わんこをオーストラリアへ持ち込み、72時間以内に豪州国外へ

連れ出すか、安楽死させるかの判断を言い渡されました。

I thought putting them down is too cruel 

so I joined a petition on Change org. site.

いくらなんでも安楽死はやり過ぎと考え、Change org.で

殺処分回避の賛同票を提出しておきました。

It was lovely Friday morning.

気持ちいい金曜日の朝。

“Shall we go home Hina?”

“そろそろ、帰ろうか？”

A huge rainbow appeared in the afternoon.

 この日の午後、大きな虹が現れました。

And a magnificent sunset this evening. 

そして、夕方には荘厳な日の入りが見られました。

Visit Graveyard／墓参り

We went to visit the graveyard the other day.

先日お墓参りに行ってきました。

 Every Easter holiday we come here 

to say hello to father-in-law.

 毎年イースターホリデーの時期は

義理父へ挨拶にこの霊園へやって来ます。

Hina: “Is this granpa's tomb?”

ひな: “ここが爺ちゃんのお墓？”

Hina: “Where is the tomb?”

ひな: “お墓、どこ？”

Hina: “Ummm, not this one too.”

ひな: “う〜ん、これでもない”

“Right there, Hina.”

“そこにあるよ、ひな”

We feel so peaceful when we visit here.

ここに来るといつも心が安らぎます。

Is Winter here?／もう冬到来？

It's still Autumn here but Winter temperatures

covered Sydney today.

暦の上ではまだ秋季なのに、

今日は冬の空気がシドニーを覆いました。

Thick grey clouds reminds us of our Norway holiday.

分厚い灰色の雲がノルウェー旅行を思い出させます。

Many Shibas like to stay near a heater on a cold day or

 snuggle in a blanket.  But Hina is strong for cold temperatures 

and she doesn't like to be covered by a blanket.

多くの柴犬は冷える日に暖房の近くに居座ったり、

毛布に包まったりするのが好きなようですが、

ひなは寒さに強くて毛布を掛けられるのを嫌います。

 We had some cold showers this afternoon 

but it cleared before our walk.

昼過ぎに冷たいにわか雨が降りましたが、

夕方の散歩前には止みました。

Hina doesn't like walking in the night so just 

before sunset(about 5:00pm) I took her out.

暗くなってからの散歩がひなは嫌いなので、

日が沈む前（5:00pm頃）に散歩へ行きました。

 

Outside temperature is 10℃ at 7:15pm today.

Winter arrived earlier than last year.

今夜7:15pmの外気温は10℃

冬の到来が去年よりも早いようです。

ANZAC Bridge／アンザック・ブリッジ

 We went for walk to our local landmark - the ANZAC Bridge.

地元のランドマーク アンザック・ブリッジへお散歩

 A long hair pin curved slope leads to the viewpoint of the bridge.

長いヘアピンカーヴを進むと、その先に橋の展望台が現れます。 

The goal is almost there.

ゴールまであともう少し。

It took about 5 mins to get to the top.

Slope is not steep but finally we made it.

展望台までは地上からゆっくり歩いて５分ほど。

そんな急な坂道ではありませんが、やっと着きました。

“How's the view from here, Hina?”

“ここからの眺めはどうだい、ひな？”

 Actually it was very windy, noisy and air polluted place

because of the heavy traffic on the bridge all the time.

実はこの展望台、ものすごい強風、騒音、そして常に交通量の

多い環境のため空気が汚れています。

I can tell she is not so happy to stay here.

“Shall we go home, Hina?”

この表情だとあまり居心地が良くないようです。

 “そろそろ帰ろうか、ひな？”

Beautiful sunset but there might be some showers tomorrow.

きれいな夕焼けですが、明日はにわか雨の予報が出ています。

Mother's Day／母の日

On Mother's Day we had lunch with mother.

母の日はランチを持って相方のお母さん宅へ

Hina likes her backyard.

ひなは母親宅の裏庭が好きです。

We brought some Vietnamese take away food for lunch.

 Hina wants our food as usual.

ランチはベトナム料理を買って行きました。

 ひなはいつものようにランチのお裾分けを待ってます。

She sits quietly but there's no food we can share with her.

食事中ひなは大人しくしてましたが、ベトナム料理には

お裾分けできる物がありません。

 Hina loves to be chased by Dad.

 We're so exhausted!

ひなは父ちゃんと追いかけっこするのが大好き。

僕らはくたくたですよ！

After some play Hina had a relaxing moment on the grass.

しばらく遊んだ後、芝生の上でまったりするひなでした。

Giba Park／ギバ・パーク

This park is close to our place but

we haven't been here for a long time. 

近所の公園ですが、久しぶりにやって来ました。

As you can see it is a very relaxing park.

ご覧の通り、とてもリラックスできる公園です。

 Such a good location but

nobody's here during weekdays.  

こんな好立地なのに、平日は人っ子一人いません。

 Hina always sits on the same rock bench 

and likes to see the park from a high place.

 ひなはいつもの岩石ベンチに陣取って、

高みの見物をするのが好きです。

Since Hina has a good memories with dog friends in the park, 

she sits on the rock bench and waits for her friends to come. 

 Of course nobody came. 

良い思い出ばかりが詰まったこの公園。この日も友達が来るのを

ベンチに座って静かに待ってましたが、誰も現れませんでした。

 In the next five years, there will be 

more tall buildings appearing in the CBD.

CBD（中心街）には今後５年以内に
更に多くの高層ビルが出現します。
